I'm Whiskey Gone

I’m whisky gone, I packed a bag and left this town in the dust and I ain’t coming back
Overstayed my time so I’m out the door. Gonna find greener pastures, I don’t care no more
But, the traveling bag that I packed, contained my emotional baggage from the past. The feelings took me by surprise don’t want to see the world through un-whiskied eyes

I’m whisky gone I’m down the road but my emotional baggage heavied up the load
That slowed me down and I saw that bar
Took an unexpected detour turned the wheel on my car

Now I’m whiskey gone but ain’t going no where as long as I sit on this bar stool I couldn’t care
I’m numb and happy my mind at ease. And I’ll stay whiskey gone as long as I please
Had to hit the road at closing time, now I own the road and it’s all mine
Don’t know where I’m going, but I’m going alone. It seems the roads the only thing that I own.

So I’m whiskey gone, not sure where I’ve been. Don’t know what happened to me or when
But I find myself here without a care I’d like to dream me up a future but I simply don’t dare
So I’m Whiskey gone. Going down the road. I need to figure out a way to lighten up my load.
This emotional baggage is following me think I’ll stay whiskey gone till it lets me be.
